Originally from Israel and now residing in NY – Shira edited 5 feature length films, several short films and few documentary films, as well as TV shows.

The first feature film Shira edited, “Room 514”, won Special Jury Mention in Tribeca 2012. The second feature she edited, “Our Father”, by Meni Yaesh, won the Best Editing Award in the Israeli Film Academy Awards 2016. The third feature film she edited, “Antenna”, by Arik Rotstein, won the Best Editing Award in the Haifa International Film Festival, 2016. In New York, Shira edited the American Indie Feature Film, “Empathy Inc.”, by Yedidya Gorsetsman, that was screened at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, and “Incitement”, a feature length film by Yaron Zilberman, is to be released in 2019.

The documentary film, “Family in Transition”, by Ofir Trainin, that won the DocAviv International Documentary Film Festival and Shira was the additional editor of, screened at the DOC NYC film festival, it’s theatrical rights were bought by Abramorama, was qualified for the Oscars 2019, and it was hailed by the press. 

Shira is also an experienced music consultant. One of her major projects was music research for the critically acclaimed feature film “Borat”.
