Sherri Margulies is an award-winning editor that has been in the game for over 20 years. Being one of the first female editors on the field, she is an undeniable talent with industry experience and editorial expertise. She collaborated on the HBO spot “Chimps” with Jane Goodall that won the first Emmy ever for a commercial advertisement. She was also on the team that won a Grammy for the music video “Free as a Bird” for the Beatles. On top of that she has won countless Clio Awards, London International’s, Cannes Lions & AICP Best Art Director & Editor. She is best known for her work with Pepsi, GE, CVS and FedEx.
Sherri thrives on giving back to the industry and community as a leader and a mentor. She’s been featured as a keynote panel speaker at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. She was a guest speaker in the Short Form Content class at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University as well as at the Made for NY Post Production Training Center.
In addition to Free the Bid, Sherri is a proud member of She Runs It, Advertising Women of New York, Women in Film, and the PTA. She leads Crew Cuts as an Editor and Partner and is proud of the culture and mentorship programs that take place within the company. Crew Cuts is a certified Women Owned Business. Sherri holds strong loyalty in her relationships and has been freeing the bid since 1988.
