Miriam began her career at Mushroom Media, a Johannesburg based post production company. In her six years there she had the opportunity to hone her editing skills in both long and short form, working with brands like BMW, Budweiser, Nivea and Microsoft among others. She decided to join the freelance world in 2018.
In addition to cutting commercials, trailers, music videos, documentaries and a variety of branded web content, Miriam has headed up small teams of editors on projects such as motorsport series, So You Think You Can Spin. In 2015, she took part in the Cannes South Africa Film Factory programme, editing short film ‘Gallo Rojo’, which was screened on the opening day of the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes 2016. She has also assisted on several feature films, including Leading Lady, Meerkat Maantuig and South Africa’s 2016 Academy Award submission, Thina Sobabili.
