Marcella became a full-time professional editor at the age of 23, moving from Los Angeles, CA to Stamford, CT to create video content for the then, brand new, NBCSports.com in 2006. She helped dot com earn it’s very first Sports Emmy nomination with the feature, “Ruth Lovelace: Chasing a Dream” in 2007 and received the NBC Universal Ovation for Excellence the same year. She continues to work as an editor/producer for NBC during their broadcast of the Olympic Games and concluded her 6th Olympics in Feb 2018, editing the nightly Primetime Open on site in PyeongChang, South Korea.
As an experienced storyteller, she is not limited to any specific genre, style, or format, but is often called upon to set tone and style templates for new shows or quickly step in and rework existing cuts to meet network notes and deadlines. Marcella is a 2-time Sports Emmy winner and 7-time nominee. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema & Television and resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, Clark.
