Kristin McCasey is a commercial, television and film editor whose greatest compliment ever received from an agency creative was, “This feels too Stanley Kubrick.”  Her work has been seen in movie theaters, international film festivals, the Super Bowl, and in art installations at the MOCA Grand Avenue and MoMa PS1.  She won the HPA Outstanding Television Editing award for the NASHVILLE episode of the acclaimed HBO Documentary Series SONIC HIGHWAYS, directed by Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl.  Critics called it “a license to fly for every fledgling writer, musician, painter, actor, dancer—for every dreamer, everywhere.”  More recently she collaborated with Ed Helms on Comedy Central’s one-hour special, THE FAKE NEWS WITH TED NELMS, as well as a spot for the anti-corruption group Represent.Us, with Ed Helms and Jack Black.

Kristin has been an editor at Therapy Studios since 2009.  Some of her clients have included Google, Amazon, Samsung, Miller Light, and Honda.  As a music video editor she has worked on projects featuring The Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus, and Good Charlotte, to name a few.  She has a passion for directing as well, and made her commercial directorial debut with a campaign for Wells Fargo.

Kristin grew up in Michigan.  She studied cinema at the University of Michigan, and directing at the British American Film Academy in London.  She works and lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband, Joe, and son, Luca.
