Zoë Le Ber is a French filmmaker working between Paris and New York. She grew up between two worlds – immersed amongst intellectuals in the world of theatre and with her father on an island in the south of France, often sailing away on adventures. Zoë became obsessed with films and photography at a very young age, finding it to be the best medium to express her imagination. She started to make a short film for every trip she went on, like moving travel diaries. Zoë is concerned by her own time – in her work, she intends to question moving realities, to shake borders. She likes to immerse herself into a universe before telling a story or expressing a feeling of it. She has directed several short films and commercials, and a first documentary about the transit life of refugees on the island of Kos in Greece. She is currently writing her first feature film.
