Yaara Sumeruk is a South African director living in Brooklyn, New York. Her dark comedy Ringo premiered at The Locarno International Film Festival and is a Vimeo Staff Pick. She just wrapped production on a short comedy called All That Glitters, and is in post production for a documentary she directed in South Africa about a group of underprivileged South Africans trying to bridge racial divides. Past clients include Google, The U.N, Malala Fund, Sundance Institute, Spike Lee, Now This and various musicians commissioning music videos. She is a MacDowell Fellow and lectures on film at Princeton University.
