Symone Ridgell is an American film director. She grew up splitting her time between West Palm Beach, Florida and the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. Ridgell studied photography at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City earning her BFA. She’s directed music videos for talent such as King Princess, Noah Cyrus, Daya, and Jagwar Twin. Her editorial work has been featured in PAPER Magazine, CR Fashion Book, Vogue Mexico, Elle China, British GQ, Grazia UK, and DNA mx. She has shot for brands such as Marc Jacobs, Steve Madden, Hood By Air, Google, VH1, Clinique, Converse, Christian Cowan, Fur, Keen, and Moose Knuckles. She has worked with talent such as Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid, Alexa Chung, Elsa Hosk, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Hayley Kiyoko, Ashton Sanders, Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, Priyanka Chopra, Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Allen, Nas, and Nelly Furtado. Ridgell has shown work in MiLK Gallery and her work “Channel Surfing” was a 2018 official selection of the LA Fashion Film Festival. She continues to create work between NYC and Los Angeles.
