Sarah is a director/producer born on the oceanside harbors of Busan, South Korea and raised in Los Angeles. She lives in New York and enjoys making films with nature, children, and the elderly. She received her B.A. for Directing from the UCLA School of Film, TV & Theater and M.F.A. for Media Arts Production in New York at CCNY. She’s a recipient of the Motion Pictures of America Association awards, Peter Stark Memorial award, Armed With a Camera Fellowship, NYWIFT scholarship award among others.
Her films have played at various festivals and institutions including Tribeca, Rotterdam, MoMA, Hawaii International, Maryland, Indie Memphis and more. She’s currently producing the feature film, ‘I Was a Simple Man’ which has been supported by the Sundance Institute through the labs, Sundance Catalyst, Film Independent, Jerome Foundation and IFP Week.
She hopes to continue to make bold, interesting works and collaborate with artists to create a better, more diverse and peaceful world.
