Sandra has always been interested in other people’s lives and their stories – but didn’t know that she could make a profession out of a passion. After working as a graphic designer for many years, she started studying documentary directing at the film academy Baden – Württemberg, one of Germanys leading film schools. For the first time, Sandra was able to combine both of her passions– telling stories and creating imagery.

During and after film school, she worked as a documentary director for German broadcasters like ARTE and ZDF, where she directed multiple long form documentaries. After meeting her agent, Betti Berlin, Sandra moved more and more towards working on commercials. Last year she focused primarily on Fashion and Beauty campaigns. In fashion films, Sandra plays with the sensuality, the strength but also with the sensitivity of the female character. No matter the genre, Sandra prioritizes finding the special moment that touches an audience on an emotional level. Sandra is open to any kind of subject and format as long as she can do what she loves the most: telling stories.

In her private life, Sandra loves being with family and spending time in nature. She has two little daughters and it is a magical time to see them grow and watch the world through their eyes. Family inspires her work, and she is very happy to live in a world where she can be both a mother and a filmmaker.
