Rocío Aguirre was since childhood related to photography because her father worked in advertising. Her work started as a still photographer, with her developing a huge body of work in 35mm. Her greatest influences have been the American cinema of the 70’s, the urban landscape, and youth culture.
She has shot many fashion campaigns and editorials, and collaborated with Chilean musicians, group exhibitions of art, and fashion editorials for Chile, the United States and Europe. Rocío has been published in different books among other artists as “The Age of Collage” of the German editorial Geastalten. She is nowadays directing commercials and continues her passion for photography, studying alternative processes of photography.
She is also in the verge of publishing a book with all of her work.
