On a rainy day in Burnley, England, a seven year old Rebecca started making stop motion animations which featured toys blowing up in cotton wool explosions. Since then her passion for filmmaking led her to make short films, branded content and music videos in London, Berlin and Tokyo. A condition called synesthesia allows Rebecca to see music, which gives her work a strong sense of rhythm, mood and colour.

Past clients include Nivea, Wilderness Festival and The Body Shop. She was the first young director selected for the Cheil Film Labs scheme, and was awarded the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund while writing several scripts.

Her latest short #eatpretty is an experimental horror made from cinemagraphs. It was commissioned by Channel 4’s Random Acts and was broadcast on UK TV, as well as being screened at the South London Gallery. Rebecca is currently in development for several experimental projects as well as a feature adaptation of a short she made in Japan.
