Rachel is a Los Angeles-based director who works in feature films, television and digital. Rachel grew up in Massachusetts and earned a B.S. in cinema and photography at Ithaca College. Rachel has directed seven feature films including Escape from Polygamy and Love at the Christmas Table for Lifetime, and the children’s movie The Princess and the Pony. Between films Rachel directs and produces content for Funny or Die, and works as the site’s White House liaison and overseeing it’s political content. In 2014 Rachel won an Emmy for producing Between Two Ferns with President Obama. Her directing work at FoD includes Snackpocalypse starring Michelle Obama; Mary Poppins Quits with Kristen Bell (promoting minimum wage increase) and Modern Office starring Christina Hendricks (advocating equality in the workplace for women). This year through Funny or Die Rachel directed the Women In Film Awards’ cold open video Men in Film, starring Fred Willard. In addition to political content Rachel directs the FoD series Lady Time, which has no political agenda but is incredibly strange.
