In 2013 Natalie studied screenwriting at AFTRS where she wrote her award winning short film Bunny New Girl. The film was invited to screen at more than 110 film festivals around the world including Tokyo International Film Festival, New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF), TIFF kids and has won 15 awards including Best Family Film at the San Francisco International Film Festival and Best Comedy at St Kilda 2015.

Her latest short film Sherbert Rozencrantz, You’re Beautiful was funded by Screen NSW and will has screened at over 25 festivals including Palm Springs Short Fest, TIFF Kids and SFFILM. The film has won 3 awards including Best Australian Film at Heart of Gold Film Festival 2018 and Best Family Film at Michael Moore’s Traverse City in 2018.

Natalie’s directing experience includes over 35 music videos for Australian and international artists such as Sarah Blasko, Bernard Fanning, Darren Hanlon, and Justine Clarke as well as directing the one hour ABC documentary, Persecution Blues: The Battle for the Tote (MIFF 2011, ABC, Screen Australia, Madman).

In 2017, Natalie was a recipient of the ADG TVC director mentorship and subsequently selected by the Sydney based production company Rabbit. She has since started directing TV commercials for major brands like Pizza Hut and Dettol and has worked on back to back productions with The Monkeys.

Natalie’s strengths as a performance director are casting and performance. She places a huge amount of emphasis on the casting process itself and manages to get the absolute best performance out of the actors she works with.
