Nadira Amrani is a British Algerian Director interested in directing diverse and innovating commercials and music videos. Currently exploring 360 degree film, Nadira has a real interest in innovating film from the way it’s shot to the way it’s showcased.
With a fashion photography and architectural background, a lot of Nadira’s work is portrait based with strong casting. Having directed and created films for the Tate, as well as the V&A, Nadira’s work has been shown in art Galleries and functioned in the art world and the film industry. Nadira, founder of the collective POC, The People of Colours, Nadira is really passionate about diversity in directing and curates regular events showcasing VR and film directors of colour work. Although Nadira can self shoot, she’s worked with creative agencies and with large crews delivering to clients, as well as creative briefs. Her short experimental hybrid doc and fiction film ‘Fly‘, featuring female rapper Flohio, was selected as part of this year’s Film London Calling scheme and is currently doing film festival rounds. She is also part of the BFI x Bafta Crew this year.
