LP
LP (LaurenĀ Palmigiano) got her start directing under the generous and auspicious mentorship of Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. As the first writer hired to create original content at Funny or Die, LP was behind dozens of the website’s hit videos and celebrity pieces. Writing successful sketch comedy led to discovering a love of directing and LP was able to flex her skills with some of Hollywood’s A List talent. She’s developed and executed ideas with Christina Applegate, John C Reilly, Martin Sheen, Lizzy Caplan, Mariah Carey, Kristen Bell and lots more.
Aside digital content, LP has directed several short films including her first, Cried Suicide, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She also directed the pilot “Hollywood and Vine” for ABC Family/Soul Pancake and an episode of Nickelodeon’s “Legendary Dudas”.
LP’s writing and improv background make her a sought after director for comedy and sketch based ideas, especially those featuring strong female characters. LP has worked with various branded partners to highlight products while also featuring a sense of humor and modern sensibility. She’s directed projects for Tidy Cats, Pantene, Glamour, Luna Bars, Mattel among others.
LP is currently prepping her first feature film, White Girl Problems, at Lionsgate with producer Elizabeth Banks.
