Laurie Rubin has been directing commercials since 2000, building upon an extremely successful career as a print advertising photographer. Winning assignments from such advertisers as McDonald’s, Target, Sara Lee, Kraft and S.C. Johnson and Crate and Barrel. She has proven her mastery of the film medium and ability to craft memorable images.
In addition to her commercial work, recent projects include travel to a remote Pacific Ocean Island to join the month long Expedition in Search of Amelia Earhart. The work was featured in a Discovery Channel Documentary and Smithsonian Magazine. Recent Gallery exhibits include, The Museum of Contemporary Photography, The Chicago Cultural Center. Northwestern University, Libreria Galleria il Museo del Louvre, Rome & the Judy Saslow Gallery.
Rubin has a robust appetite for architecture, design, and travel, combined with the passion of a devoted collector. She has applied her skills to successfully market everything from food to home décor. Whether in the studio or on location, she problem-solves effortlessly creating striking, memorable images. Given her background, it is not surprising that she is often called upon to work on both the print and motion side of the same campaign.
