Kate is an award-winning director and writer known for her visual flair, distinctive colour palettes and attention to detail. She is drawn to both ends of the genre spectrum, gravitating towards quirky and stylised comedy or conversely dark drama.

Her short film; ‘A Private Matter’ has screened at over 25 festivals worldwide, including the Academy & BAFTA accredited Flickerfest International Short Film Festival and St Kilda Film Festival in Australia. In 2017, Kate was selected by the Australian Director’s Guild to be the first recipient of the Gender Matters: Commercial & Content Directing Mentorship, which she undertook with Goodoil Films.

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts and is a graduate of the International Film School Sydney (IFSS), where she completed an Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media in Directing, writing and producing. Over the years Kate has worked professionally in Australia and abroad in a wide range of roles, including production designer, costume designer, editor, producer, casting, camera assistant, actor and presenter. This vast range of experience has allowed Kate a comprehensive understanding into all facets of the filmmaking experience, which has been extremely beneficial in her development as a director.
