Fanny Hoetzeneder is a first class graduate of London College of Communications and avid film maker, living in East London.

Born and raised in France, Fanny moved to London in 2010 to study and experiment in the art of filmmaking. Travelling between Austria, France and England, she started out as a photographer and took her close relationship between friends and family as inspiration (one of her photographs making it into Home’s Truth’s exhibition book at the Photographer’s Gallery).

Her photographic approach has pushed her into developing a distinct style of alternative ‘photographic’ filmmaking.  Fanny explored this visual approach to storytelling in her graduation film, Belleville (which premiered on NOWNESS), and developed it in her first commercial commissions for Rayban and Valspar Paint.  Throughout the films Fanny makes, she likes to look beyond the obvious to portray a real and authentic side of life, often in a fresh, visually arresting style with a deep rooted love of youth culture.

Fanny has recently joined Knucklehead’s roster for international representation.
