Born in England in 1988, Emma is a British filmmaker and director. At eighteen, she left her home in pursuit of a career in film in Los Angeles after assisting a variety of editors and directors in the UK.  Emma attended the Lee Strasberg Institute for a year before deciding to write, produce, direct, and edit her first short film. In 2010 this film was selected for the New-filmmakers Festival in New York and the Bel Air Film Festival, where she won Best Audience Short Film at 21 years old.

In January 2011 Emma formed Holly Films, her own production company.  In 2011 Emma also began work on her second short film ‘Everything Carries Me To You’ starring Matthew Rhys & Janet Montgomery, it screened at festivals in both LA & London, the film is now being produced by Laura Rister & Untitled as a full feature, Emma also penned the script.

In 2017 Emma was attached to direct ‘Mr Malcolm’s List’, a period drama, black list script which is being packaged at Verve alongside Alison Owen, Des Hamilton & Laura Rister. She also has a female driven food & travel show in development with LENNY LETTER.

Since 2011 Emma has also been shooting a variety of commercial & photo work receiving rave reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and the British Filmmakers Alliance. Some highlights include; some short doc’s around the Hilary Clinton presidential campaign for Glamour Magazine & Lena Dunham and a documentary for Vogue & Vice on Bella Thorne.
