Danielle Morgan Boyd is a writer/director based in LA. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch, majoring in Film and Television and minoring in Business Entertainment. Inspired at an early age by the expressive presence of the likes of Maya Angelou, Danielle felt the importance of sharing her perspective and experiences through films, poems and books. For Danielle, films make stories real, transforming them into a living, breathing piece of art that have the power to affect the world.
By creating stories that depict a nuanced relationship between her characters and the world, Danielle aims to show how intercultural experiences promote mutual understanding and personal growth. Through her art, she strives to provide endless possibilities of how we form our place in the world around us. Over Danielle’s four years in New York, she produced several short films, including an Independent Film The Hooligans (June, 2015). More recently, her music video Visions 20/20 was screened at the Los Angeles Music Video Festival. Currently, Danielle’s senior thesis film, The Princess and The Pea, is in the festival circuit showing at the Palm Springs International Short Film Market and screening at this years Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner.
