Chiara Clemente is a critically acclaimed and award-winning director whose workexplores identity, cultural contrast, and the creative process. Her love for capturing people can be traced back to a childhood spent watching her father paint portraits. She has gained a reputation for capturing intimate and revealing moments with real people of all backgrounds; from artists, actors, chefs and designers, to millennial women making their mark in the world. To date she has interviewed almost two hundred people and her passion for the conversations has become parallel to telling a strong visual story.
Chiara’s career spans many years in the realm of documentaries, film series and commercials. Her first feature documentary, “Our City Dreams” premiered at the prestigious Film Forum, screened in more than thirty cities worldwide, and was broadcast on the Sundance Channel. The film propelled her to continue to inspire audiences to follow their dreams. Shortly afterwards, she created the Webby Award Winning Film series “Beginnings” as well as four seasons of “ Made Here” featuring performers such as Bill T. Jones, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cherry Jones. She has collaborated with brands like Apple, Cadillac, UBS and Levis, to create impactful and memorable films.
She currently lives in New York City but continues to travel where her films take her.
