Conspiração partner since 2000, Carolina Jabor launched in 2014, her fictional first feature film “Boa Sorte” (“Good Luck”), which received rave reviews and was chosen as best film at the jury of the 6th Paulinia Film Festival, in addition to winning the Prix du Festival du Cinéma in public Brésilien Paris. In 2017, the Paris based production-sales company, MPM Film, acquired worldwide rights outside South America to Carolina Jabor´s “Liquid Truth.” Based on a recent stage play by Catalan author, Josep Maria Miró, the story turns on a charismatic swimming teacher accused of kissing a seven-year-old student on the mouth, who suffers virtual lynching on the internet.
In 2008, Carol co-directed, with Lula Buarque de Hollanda, the documentary “O Mistério do Samba” (“The Mystery of Samba”) of the Old Guard of Portela, selected for the show Cinéma de la Plage, at the Cannes Film Festival and winner, for best documentary, Grand Prix of the Brazilian Cinema 2009. On TV, she signed the direction of episodes of the series “Magnífica 70” on the universe of Trash Mouth during the military dictatorship in Brazil (HBO, 2015) and produced and directed episodes of the series “A Mulher Invisível” (“The Invisible Woman”/ TV Globo, 2011), winner of the International Emmy in 2012, in the category comedy series. She also directed “A sede do peixe”, especially about Milton Nascimento (HBO, 2003); the episode “Detetive”, the “Mandrake” (HBO, 2005), series twice finalist for the International Emmy; and episodes of “Ó Pai Ó” (2008 and 2009, TV Globo). Carolina also acts in the direction of advertising films, area where she began her career and won awards, working for clients such as Pantene, Natura, Unilever, Itaú and Tim.
