Ashley Avis is an award winning American director and screenwriter.
Commercially she has directed projects for clients like Coca Cola, Red Bull, Footlocker, Pfizer, Galderma, CaliBurger, and recently won the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Award for her auto-fashion fusion spot, Bespoke, at the Bokeh South African International Fashion Film Festival in Cape Town. She edits the vast majority of her commercial work.
In 2016, Ashley had her feature film debut with Deserted, an artistic psychological survival story that she also penned, starring Mischa Barton. Her second feature, the coming of age story Adolescence, starring Tommy Flanagan, Elisabeth Rohm, India Eisley and Jere Burns will be released in 2017. The film was edited by Oscar nominated Douglas Crise (Birdman, Babel).
Her next feature film projects include the inspirational true story of Zambian Olympic 800 meter runner Prince Mumba, entitled 800 to be produced by entertainment pioneer Cary Granat (Chronicles of Narnia, Charlotte’s Web, Bridge to Terabithia), Michael Flaherty, and Edward Winters. She is also set to direct the tragic Hollywood love story Trancas by Lem Dobbs (Romancing the Stone, The Limey, The Company You Keep).

She is the co-founder of Winterstone Pictures in Los Angeles. Ashley is represented commercially by Roy Skillicorn of Seed Media Arts.
