A London native, Ashleigh has gone from strength to strength over the past few years. With work rooted in urban life, youth and culture, Ashleigh’s unquestionable drive has taken the once rough underground visual scene and turned it into something cinematic, but with a focus on never losing it’s heart.
Starting out as a photographer, Ashleigh quickly became enamored with the moving image format, producing back to back original content for brands and artists such as Beats by Dre, GRM Daily, Luxottica, Link Up TV, Tinie Tempa, SBTV, Billboard and Skepta. A self-shooter in her youth, Ashleigh’s work reflects this in its ability to gain candid yet energetic portraits of her characters.
Ashleigh’s first major piece of work was a promo for UK hip-hop band WSTRN, “On The Go”. Following a Romeo and Juliette style story, “On The Go” delivers Shakespeare’s famous tale using the gritty backdrop of West London whilst also using street cast locals to keep it’s authenticity.
Shortly afterwards, Ashleigh followed up WSTRN with the sun drenched promo for House DJ MK, “My Love 4 U”. The high-energy piece turns the standard ‘club promo’ on its head using an array of digital formats, from high end Alexa to camera phone footage. The video was shot on location in London and Ibiza.
