Adinah Dancyger
Dancyger is a Korean/Polish/American filmmaker from New York City.
She graduated from Bard College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production. Her short film, Chopping Onions (2015) traveled the festival circuit internationally, from Cannes, Berlinale, Hamptons International, BUSAN Children and Youth, Reykjavík International Film Festival, and more. She directed a film featuring queer musician and performer, Mykki Blanco, who recites Zoe Leanord’s 1992 Poem “I Want A Dyke For President.”
Dancyger has directed films for Dazed and Confused Magazine, been featured for her works on platforms such as Nowness, Vogue, I-D Vice, Nordstrom, Raveline and Fader. She has directed music videos and has acted in independent films. She has edited for companies Philosophy and Gucci. Her first feature film, Girl Props, which she co-wrote, co-directed, and co-stars with Victoria Cronin and India Menuez. Her third short film, Cheer Up Baby, starring India Menuez. Interested in the documentary/fiction crossover, Dancyger likes to blend reality and fiction through personal and subtle storytelling.
