Višnja Kržić is a Serbian-born, New York City-based composer and pianist.
A former assistant to the renowned Balkan composer Goran Bregović, with whom she worked on numerous multimedia projects, she is a recipient of the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer award and a graduate of UCLA’s Music Composition program. She recently held residencies at Bang on a Can Summer Festival at MASS MoCA and the Atlantic Center for the Arts. In the 2016-17 season, she was the artist-in-residence with dance companies Circuit Debris and Same As Sister Dance Collective at BRICArts in Brooklyn and at CAMAC Art Centre in France, and their artistic collaboration continues. Višnja is currently developing new works for cellist Wick Simmons and for the Tesla Quartet, as well as working on her debut album, to be released in 2019.
