A professional composer since the age of 15, Megan Cavallari’s first film job was working alongside Danny Elfman on The Nightmare Before Christmas. She holds graduate degrees in music from New York University and studied film scoring, conducting, and orchestration at UCLA. Cavallari written for over 40 films and television shows, and her exceptional body of work spans the worlds of theatre, commercials, concerts, pop songs, and ice hockey arenas internationally. She is best known for her versatility as a score composer and songwriter.

A natural collaborator with innate dramatic sensibility, Megan has maintained a balance throughout her career between hits like Nightmare or Disney’s Handy Manny and artsy, labor-of-love indies. She has developed a voice that combines modern innovation and color with timeless human emotion and melody. Equally at home in scoring children’s entertainment, ironic dark comedies, gripping thrillers, or sweeping romances, the common thread in all of Megan’s work is vivid musical storytelling. She has been the recipient of many awards, including 3 ASCAP awards and 2 Cynopsis Media awards, in addition to having had two platinum albums.
