Composer Emily Ippolito has a strong passion for music and its importance in film, particularly when it enhances emotions that are otherwise not seen on the screen.
She recently finished a score for Nocturnal, in collaboration with BAFTA and RTS nominee Tatenda and writer/director Esther Conroy; as well as one for the short Tide, directed by the UK artist Mark Zerop. She has composed concert music for all genres, from solo pieces to full orchestral works.
An imminent recipient of a master’s degree from University of Edinburgh’s Music Composition for Screen program, Emily is also a writer, currently authoring a children’s book series.
Originally from Oregon, Emily now resides in Scotland with her seven‐year‐old daughter.
