Deborah Hurwitz is a composer, conductor and recording artist whose internationally acclaimed projects include Cirque du Soleil, Cyndi Lauper and the Broadway smash hit Jersey Boys. She has scored television shows ranging from Sesame Street to Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing, national commercial campaigns such as Old Navy and Capital One and a diverse array of award-winning indie films, virtual reality projects and interactive live shows. She released two independent CDs as singer-songwriter Deborah Marlowe and has performed on The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall and twice at the White House.
After over a decade of conducting and performing on Broadway, Deborah left Manhattan in 2011 to serve as the Music Director of Cirque du Soleil’s “IRIS: Journey Through the World of Cinema” in Hollywood with Danny Elfman, while continuing to launch multiple companies of Jersey Boys worldwide as the production’s Music Technical Designer. She has since co-composed a new musical comedy with Jason Alexander, written the music & lyrics for two original aerial shows with America’s Got Talent’s flying teams, and composed scores for a groundbreaking mobile VR platform in Los Angeles.
Deborah graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and has also served as an Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music, with master class appearances at Lincoln Center and USC’s Thornton School of Music. Deborah is also an award-winning speaker, productivity coach and co-author of the Amazon #1 Bestseller, “She Made It Happen.”
