Carly Putnam is a self taught singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, touring musician, a visual sound wiz, and creator of The Oilies, an SF Bay Area originated project, serving home-fried pop, and features a rotating cast for the live version. An EP scheduled to be released on Fruits and Flowers Records early spring of 2019 and a full length album late 2019.

Her music is imbued with an exploration into deeper modes of human emotion, inspired by experiences that engage with society and intersectionality through storytelling, songwriting, music recording and production. Carly attended Women’s Audio Mission in San Francisco where she studied audio engineering. She has a home recording studio built in a vintage motorhome where she resides and churns out melodic jangle pop, referencing bands such as The Go-Betweens and Marine Girls. Her style is fearless, nomadic, and unbound by convention. Her talents have been featured in bay area bands, The Mantles, Art Museums, Horrid Red, Reds, Pinks & Purples, Michael O, to name a few. Performed at SF PopFest 2010-2017, NoisePop 2010, 2014, and Woodsist Festival 2010-2012, Deathstock 2015.
