Alexandra Kalinowski is a composer and classically trained pianist and vocalist living and working in L.A.
She has written music for short and feature films in comedy, drama, sci-fi and horror in addition to releasing her own sunny orchestral pop under the name AK, recorded with a five-piece band. She has worked as a session vocalist, voice over artist, keyboard player for live bands, commercial jingle writer, music assistant and music copyist on Broadway Shows in New York, most recently as the foley assistant on Spongebob Squarepants on Broadway. Alexandra also writes for musical theater and is currently working on a 1940s LGBTQ show set in the nightclubs of New York.
She is an avid movie-watcher and -lover, having grown up the child of two art-department parents in Los Angeles. She achieved her BM in Classical Voice Performance from BU and has attended the SCL Mentorship Program in New York.
