Sasha Rainbow is a director who has worked across multiple disciplines including film, art direction, photography and costume.
Sasha began her career in the music industry directing work for companies such as Universal, Sony, Mercury and Warner. From music she segued to directing advertising campaigns for major luxury fashion houses such as Lancome and Armani. Her work has been exhibited around the world as part of ASVOFF at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, The Berlin Fashion Film Festival and in 2015 she was nominated for best director at the London Music Video Awards. For the past two years, Sasha has been focusing on narrative film to highlight social causes, which has taken her around the world to places such as Ghana, India, Romania and Thailand. She is currently in post-production on her first documentary set in Ghana on the world’s biggest electronic waste dump, filmed in late 2016. She is also writing a feature film based on the Roma (Gypsy) community in Paris, France.
Sasha is determined to use storytelling to throw light onto the many underrepresented communities to showcase heroic role models, which she believes is just what the world needs.
