Erica Eng is a Los Angeles based director whose work has been showcased in Oscar-qualifying festivals such as the Atlanta Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, and the Holly Shorts Film Festival where her film “Fighter” was screened at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Most recently, Erica became one out of six fellows handpicked out of 400 applicants to participate in the Commercial Directors Diversity Program – a fellowship created with the AICP and the Directors Guild of America. Through the program, Erica directed a “Homeboy Industries” commercial starring the Emmy-nominated actor, Richard Cabral. Erica was also chosen for SHOOT Magazine’s 16th Annual New Director’s Showcase, where her film “Poison” was screened at the Directors Guild Theatre in New York. With poetic imagery, Erica finds beauty within the grit.
Inspired by her Oakland roots, Erica aims to create films that reflect the diverse community in which she grew up.
