Born in Oakland, CA – Erica Eng is a Los Angeles based director who aims to create work that reflects the diverse community in which she grew up.
Most recently, Erica became one out of six fellows handpicked out of 400 applicants to participate in the Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP) – a fellowship partnered with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) and the Directors Guild of America (DGA). Through the program, Erica created a “Homeboy Industries” PSA starring the Emmy-nominated actor, Richard Cabral. Erica was also chosen for SHOOT Magazine’s 16th Annual New Director’s Showcase, where her film “Poison” was screened at the Directors Guild Theatre in New York.
Erica’s work has been screened in Academy-qualifying festivals such as the Atlanta Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and the Holly Shorts Film Festival where her film “Fighter” was screened at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
