Annie Saunders is a director and immersive experience-maker. Her award-winning company, Wilderness, has presented original work at The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival, REDCAT, the 14th Factory, Soho House Malibu, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Opera Omaha, the San Francisco Playhouse, Edinburgh’s Summerhall, the Powerhouse season for New York Stage and Film, and more. Commissions include the City of Santa Monica Dept of Cultural Affairs and the Getty Villa. She is a core performer with Lars Jan’s Early Morning Opera, and has appeared in Holoscenes, The Institute of Memory (TIMe), and Abacus. She is a participant in the 2017/18 Devised Theater Working Group for next-generation performance-makers at the Public Theater in New York. She is represented for commercial projects and commissions by HELO, and has created unique large-scale experiential works at Cannes Lions, for MasterCard, and for ASICS Worldwide.
